Didion
Didion turns what you say into notes that organise themselves. If something isn't working, or you just want to ask, write to me directly — one person reads it.

Telling me which iPhone and which iOS version you're on saves a round trip.
On your phone. There's no account and no server holding them, which also means I can't recover them for you if the app is deleted. Use Settings → Back Up Notes to save a copy wherever you like, and Restore from Backup to bring it back.
No. Transcription runs on the phone itself. The audio never leaves the device. The text of a note is sent to Google's Gemini API to tidy it up and pull out your tasks — that's covered in the privacy policy.
That's the speech model that lets transcription run on your phone instead of on a server. It downloads once, over Wi-Fi, and then works offline forever. It's the price of your voice not leaving the device.
Check the banner at the top of the notes list — if the model is still downloading, transcription can't run yet. Otherwise, make sure Didion has microphone permission in iOS Settings.
Task extraction needs a connection. If you were offline when the note was saved, open the note again once you're back online and it'll try again.
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by me. On your iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Didion → Cancel. It stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
Notes you've already written stay readable and exportable after cancelling. You won't be locked out of your own writing.
Tap Restore purchases on the subscription screen. If that doesn't work, check you're signed in with the same Apple ID you bought it on, then email me.
Subscriptions follow your Apple ID. Install Didion on the new phone, open it, and tap Restore purchases. Your notes are separate — bring those across with Back Up Notes and Restore from Backup.
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by me. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID.
